How this works
This is one person's audit of every convention booked into downtown New Orleans through May 2027, scored for one question only: will this crowd be out at night, near me? Nothing here is sponsored and nothing is for sale.
The three rules behind every score
- Visitor mass first. A prestigious 300-person board meeting does not move downtown. Twenty thousand engineers does.
- Badge walls stay visible. "Free reception" usually means free with a paid badge — not open to you.
- Evidence is kept separate. The score measures spillover onto the street. How sure we are is a different question, and it changes what we're willing to print.

Why some events have no crowd size
When an organiser publishes a number, or a venue booking backs one up, you get the range. When the only source is a directory listing, you get no figure at all rather than a made-up one that looks precise. The A–D evidence grade behind that call lives on the board, next to the source links.
Where the records come from
429 discoveries were deduplicated into 395 event records; 168 of those are directory-only leads nobody has confirmed, and they are hidden here (they're still on the board, behind a toggle). Co-located shows are counted once — the pool, spa and deck expos are one crowd, not three. Corrections so far cover FAN EXPO, RISKWorld and DEMA.
