CONVENTION CROWD INTELLIGENCE
Is downtown
worth it?
A practical read on when visiting doctors, engineers, lawyers, finance people, founders, and operators will actually spill into New Orleans hotels, bars, restaurants, and the street.
Visitor mass first. A prestigious 300-person board meeting does not move downtown.
Badge walls stay visible. “Free reception” usually means included with a paid badge—not public.
Evidence is separate. Go score measures spillover; the A–D grade measures how sure we are.
NEAR-TERM SIGNAL
Next high-conviction crowd waves
Co-located programs are counted once. These are the strongest verified professional-crowd windows coming up—not just the biggest registrations.

WHAT CHANGED IN THE DEEP AUDIT
429 discoveries became 395 event records—and 381 unique crowd clusters.
We removed or merged 34 duplicates and stale rows, quarantined 168 directory-only leads, added missing NatCon, and corrected major crowd-size misses including FAN EXPO, NAR NXT, RISKWorld, CareerTech, DEMA, Ellucian Live, and World of Asphalt. The four-events-per-week recall check is comfortably met without pretending duplicate tracks are new visitors.

Import into “NOLA Conventions”
The downloaded .ics works in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Outlook. Google’s simple add-event link cannot create a separate calendar with many events, so import is the reliable route.
- Open Google Calendar and create a calendar named NOLA Conventions.
- Open Settings → Import & export.
- Choose the downloaded file and select that calendar as the destination.
